"I'll be honest: I'm not a fan of insurance. I think it's mostly a scam. But Derrick? Derrick is the exception. A friend referred me after I mentioned I was paying $786/month for car insurance. Derrick texted me on a Saturday night around 9PM asking about my availability for Sunday and Monday (a holiday!). He even texted before calling Sunday morning to let me know what number he'd be calling from. Professional from the jump. We spent over 1 hour and 20 minutes on the phone, and Derrick walked me through everything with patience and clarity. By the end of that call, he saved me $400 a month. Yes, you read that right. FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS!! For context, I was already working with a broker who supposedly "shopped" policies for me every year. I even ran my own quotes 3 months ago, and everything was astronomical.
